7/25/16 - "The phrase 'Black Lives Matter' simply refers to the notion that there's a specific vulnerability for African-Americans that needs to be addressed," Mr. Obama said in a town-hall-style meeting last week. "It's not meant to suggest that other lives don't matter; it’s to suggest that other folks aren't experiencing this particular vulnerability."

7/26/16 - "Someone has a broken tail light, the police need to handle it. Someone's robbing a bank, the police need to handle that as well. Like your neighbor's playing loud music, you call the police for that. A person with mental health issues may be threatening to harm themselves, the police need to handle that as well. We're asking too much of them, which is not right. Obviously things are going to go wrong, it's a recipe for disaster.
Look, America, if we want to help minorities, one of the ways we can do it is by helping the police. Because if this carries on, the distrust that citizens have in the police will rise. The police will feel more and more threatened by the public that doesn't trust them and the cycle will only continue to get worse."
